Emily has bigger problems now that Madeline didn't fire her at the beginning of Emily's Paris episode 2. Alfie to be specific. While picking flowers for Madeline, Emily informs Mindy that her friend blew her off at the dinner party she was sending her to, so she didn't respond to her texts, and Mindy confesses that she turned down the club performance because she refused to break up her band.

Emily goes to the Savoir after picking up a bouquet to apologize for McFaster, after which she and Madeline bury the hatchet and Sylvie takes care of the job as she needs to be replaced.

On the other hand, Sylvie is flourishing, introducing all the big names in the luxury sector, especially her career that night. and counts the triumph of the new firm of Agence Grateau, a famous fashion designer named Pierre Cadault, who sends a dress. Sylvie.

Emily texts Alfie about the state of their relationship at the Savoir, but before she can ask him if it's over, Madeline interrupts her and says, "Let's go, girl," and Emily goes to Tiffany & Co. He drags Madeline and Emily into a business meeting. Find Sylvie, Luck, and Julien while they're there for dates at Tiffany's.

After some heated arguments, Madeline and Sylvie lose their deal with the corporate representative. Madeline then tries to sue Sylvie for breaching her non-compete agreement by trying to bring Tiffany to her new agency.

After mixing up two meetings, Madeline and Emily move on to the next meeting as they try to resolve their client's conflict with Antoine. However, Antoine dismisses Madeline's threats of legal action and says he needs to talk to the new CFO. Soon after, it is revealed that Alfie is the CFO and he is in Paris, not London.

After the discussion, Emily, quite worried after hearing the shocking news about Alifa, stops by Gabriel's diner where she finds Camille and Gabriel. These people, who are supposed to be Emily's friends, admit that they know that Alfie never returned to London. Gabriel is asked to return to the kitchen, leaving Camille and Emily alone at the bar. Emily explains to Camille that if they're going to be friends, she needs to be transparent with her, but Camille comments on Emily's secret relationship with Gabriel.

Alfie shows up and joins Emily for a friendly dinner. He justifies his cheating on her by admitting that he knew they weren't on the same page. Furthermore, he claims that after he put himself there, he put her on hold.

After dinner, Emily returns home alone and talks to Mindy, blaming herself for everything and claiming that she deserved what she endured. Mindy advises him that if he's going to win over Alfie, he needs to put himself out there.

With her romantic life in tatters, Emily immerses herself even more in her work. When Emily asks Luc for help choosing Sylvie's replacement, Luc suggests Sylvie. Madeline hates it, of course, but Luc convinces her to try to win Sylvie that evening at the Kadault retrospective.

Nicolas de Leon takes an interest in Emily when she arrives at the gathering as well. He presents himself as the successor of JVMA. Seeing a great business prospect, Emily offers to talk marketing with him over drinks, but he declines, saying they handle all their operations internally.
Sylvie quickly attracts Emily's attention when Madeline enters.

Although Sylvie is very brave during her confrontation with Madeline, she is thrown aside when Cadault informs the audience in a flashback that JVMA has bought her brand, meaning Sylvie is no longer wanted there. After the announcement, he and Cadault are forced to wear masks for the cameras.

The next morning, Nicolas contacts her to set up a meeting and he offers her the chance to join JVMA to operate exclusively under the Cadault brand. After consulting with Julien and Luc for advice, Silvie decides to keep her firm independent and rejects the JVMA offer.

Emily, Gabriel, and Camille attend when Mindy and her band play that evening. Gabriel decides to secretly invite Alfie, so Alfie arrives shortly. Alfie ignores Emily's attempts to reconcile with him, but Emily continues to do her best.

In the scene, Mindy's friends admit that they accepted her invitation to play at the nightclub instead. Emily takes the opportunity to grab the microphone. He starts singing to Alfie. Alfie appreciates the gesture and takes to the stage to settle their differences.

  Episode Review

In this episode, both Emily and Alfie, as well as Emily and Madeline, made amends very quickly and easily. Apparently, in the world of Emily in Paris, minor infractions like taking your boyfriend for granted and double-timing your employers are dealt with more quickly and without consequence.

This episode is no exception to the show's heavy use of stereotypes. Madeline wears a bright dress and bright yellow coat while using a giant plastic bottle. In addition, she can be seen openly using a breast pump at work while casually walking around. In contrast to Sylvie's cold French elegance, she definitely takes on a touch of extreme "nasty American" this season.

In this episode, Emily stands up for Alfie, which leads to their reconciliation. As we've seen in previous seasons, Emily has a history of lying and cheating on men while harboring feelings for Gabriel. This season is no exception. This wouldn't be a problem if Emily was portrayed as a gray figure. Instead, he is portrayed as a virtuous character while doing so, which sends the wrong message and ultimately normalizes him.

Camille is an odd character with little to no depth. For example, when Emily urges him to be honest with her, he responds with a comment about Emily being secretly intimate with Gabriel. It would have been a reasonable reaction if Camille hadn't made up with Emily after she promised she wouldn't, but she said it was pretty weird with what she did.
