Emily in Paris Season 3

Episode No 3 Recap And Review

Now that Emily and Alfie are officially back together, they start Emily In Paris season 3 episode 3 by relaxing in bed. But despite Emily's willingness to ignore her work commitments for the day, Alfie unexpectedly insists they get up and go, and she heads to the office.

As they enter the building, Madeline screams and hits her pinky nails on the elevator. comes He complains that the elevator is out of order, and Henry, the building manager, isn't very cooperative. With no time to solve the problem while her company crumbles around her, Madeline leaves the responsibility to Emily, who consults with Luc. Luc reveals that Henry is quite close to her as he answered her call from Agence Grateau.

Agence Grateau, however, faces its own challenges. Sylvie was operating her business illegally from her home and her landlady discovered her arrangement. However, knowing Sylvie, she came up with a quick solution to kick out Emily and Madeleine and take over the old Savoir place.

After contacting Luc, Emily decided to give up on solving the elevator problem and now spends her time photographing random pets on the sidewalks of Paris for a potential client. Emily is interrupted during a photo shoot by Mindy, who asks Emily to visit a nightclub where she will be performing that evening.

Later in the day, Emily and Alfie show up, and she can't help but ask Alfie if he believes Antoine could ever switch to Savoir, given Sylvie's non-compete clause. Instead of answering, he kisses Emily to silence her questions. Luckily, her tactic works when they settle down to watch the show together.

During a meal with Luc and Henri, the former building manager, Sylvie engages in devious strategies. Although it's clear that she's never known this man before, she steps up her charms to seduce him and get his job back. Henry is suspicious when he explains that he was extremely afraid of her when they shared the building and therefore never contacted her. She tricks Henry into agreeing to treat Emily and Madeline as some sort of nuisance in order to get Sylvie back, forcing them to leave.

The episode's focus returns to Mindy as she bonds with Benoit backstage to ease her anxiety before the performance. She then delivers a performance by Dua Lipa in a glittery costume that wows everyone as usual.

Sylvie's flirting pays off the next day. When Emily and Madeline arrive at the building, the elevator is still not working, and to make matters worse, the window frames are tightly sealed, the heat is on in the middle of summer, and Henry is not returning Emily's calls. However, Savoir still needs to run his own company, so Emily introduces Madeline to a pet food marketing campaign that features an adorable filter that allows users to transform into any animal they like.

Madeline tries it out and is delighted when she looks like a cat in the video, but her enthusiasm quickly fades when a pigeon enters the room. Just as Madeline was about to begin a video conference with several Gilbert Group executives from Chicago, who were targeting foreign corporations, the pigeon was kicked out of the room. Madeline's filter, checked just a few minutes ago, won't disappear from her screen, which is a problem for her because she's embarrassed when she calls, even though.

Unfortunately, Emily can't help with the filter as she tries to contact Henry, who is actually interested in her cell phone while reporting all the events to Sylvie. When Emily finally gets his attention and drags him upstairs, Henry makes a fool of himself and accuses them of luring the pigeons by leaving croissants around.

The next day, Emily arrives at Madeline's office, which is her private room, for work. The two have officially left Savoir, but they won't be marketing in Paris for long, as Madeline reveals she's bought tickets for herself and Emily to return to America.

Emily is visibly shaken by the revelation and begins to break down before looking down on the city from Madeline's balcony, causing her to instantly glow. Madeline approaches and informs him that she will be staying in Paris instead of returning to Chicago. Towards the end, Madeline smiles and hugs Emily tightly, assuring her that she respects her decision to stay.

The old Savoir workplace is buzzing again, with Emily leaving the hotel and stepping onto the sidewalk, thanks to Sylvie, as well as the team members who moved because of Henry. Julien and Luc realize that Emily's corner is noticeably empty as they remove the boxes and return to work at their desks.

  Episode Review

The episode contains several fairy tale elements while trying to solve very practical problems. For example, even after Emily loses her job in a strange town, she doesn't appear. Furthermore, when Savoir loses his job - his apartment is given to him by them, as well as when the show begins; but this is not taken into account at all, and it seems that the apartment is his now, which is quite strange.

The cinematography of the show is absolutely amazing and Mindy's songs always add a touch of fun too. This episode is no exception. Mindy's plot elements are poorly developed though and her character doesn't add anything significant to the storyline other than her pleasant performances.

The show — especially this episode — doesn't let tension build, rest, and then resolve. Every obstacle in front of the main character and side characters is quickly solved, and as a result, the tension is reduced. For example, in this episode, deciding whether to move to America or stay in Paris is a big decision, but Emily makes it in the blink of an eye without thinking that she will be out of a job.
