The White Lotus HBO Series Season 2 episode 3 Recap and Review

Taurus Elephants

Valentina was quite a mystery until now. We saw the facility's manager play a key role in season 1, and White Lotus episode 3 paves the way for the manager to be involved in the same way here.

It's not a violent action, but a deeper look at the exotic, difficult taskmaster that makes things happen at White Resort. She picks up coffee in town, runs into obstacles, and runs into Ethan on the way. The morning is not kind to Dominique, who immediately regrets sleeping with the girls. Seeing the women leave the room, Bert makes the situation worse. Harper prepares to wear skimpy clothes, makeup, and perfume to meet Ethan after the run.

He wants to use a time of sexual excitement to create a spark in intercourse, but it all goes to waste. Ethan doesn't bite. However, he promises to be the "life of the party" going forward and to let Ethan's friends know more about himself. At breakfast, Harper's efforts to be more present are noticed by Sullivan.

Daphne invites Harper to visit Noto when Cameron shoots her. She makes plans to jet ski with Ethan, who reluctantly agrees. Albie and Portia have breakfast and the latter admits to being depressed. Albie comforts her and Tanya starts to lose it.

He can't quite come to terms with Greg's departure and sees it as a sign of desertion. I guess she didn't hear Greg talking about cheating on her with another woman. They are joined by Albie and Portia and the four of them plan a nice trip for the day. They will visit the filming locations of The Godfather: Part I and The Godfather: Part II in Sicily. As the ladies leave for a trip to Noto, Cam catches sight of Lucia and Mia entering the building after another shopping spree.

As Bert spits on the legacy of his Godfather films (rightfully so), Albie's Stanford education denies him that opportunity. He says the movies are popular because men feel shamed by modern society. She takes her leave and asks Tanya Valentina to send a Tarot card reader to her room for positive direction. But things turn for Tanya when the reader correctly predicts that Greg is cheating on Tanya "for someone beautiful in his life." Tanya rushes out of the room as the negativity crushes her.

When Daphne arrives at a famous palace in Noto, she reveals to Harper that she has booked for the night. Harper isn't sure, but Daphne says it's her way of "getting back at Kam." Ethan has a difficult conversation with Cam. We're tipped off as to the possible reason he invited the Spillers on vacation. He wants Ethan to invest in his financial firm so he can make money.

He is a raven with crystal eyes and Ethan sees through him. Daphne teases Cam with the news that she'll be staying the night, hitting her FOMO buttons. Cam doesn't take it well and the men go skiing. Ladies have a festive time, go shopping, dine on beautiful streets, and even have ecstasy.

Dominic tries to tell Albie that he still loves his mother, but his son says that Dom needs to change to show what he means. We see Valentina eating alone on the streets with the little kittens she's raising. Later we see Isabella talking to Valentina and remembering how she looked at her and admired her. Although Valentina is caught a little off guard, she takes the compliment well. Dom realizes what he has to do and thanks Lucia for her time. He says that he will no longer need his services and bids him farewell. It also turns out that Mia didn't sleep with them and passed out before it all went down.

Lucia then checks out the new customers and sees Cam at one of the tables. While at the bar, Giuseppe approaches Mia and makes her a "friends with benefits" offer, which she surprisingly doesn't immediately reject. A table of men stares at Tanya, which makes her both flattered and uncomfortable. Portia and Albie also gesture to each other when Tanya informs her that she should stay away from emotionally unavailable men.

Portia admits that Albie is a "very nice" guy for her and that she doesn't have a crush on him. Cam and Ethan discuss whether or not it's okay to cheat, and the former applies her wild perspective on Ethan asking girls out. They later have a party together and go to Cam's room. Ethan locks himself in, but eventually lets them into his room.

When Mia tries to go with him, she politely says no and he walks away. Portia is eyeing another man in the pool when Albie kisses her, suggesting that she might be willing to ditch the beautiful for a wild one.

When Harper asks Daphne if she feels that Cam cheated on her, she surprisingly says that she knows of something that he did. Despite her instincts telling her she did, Daphne says she "does what she wants" to avoid holding any grudges against him. Harper is shocked to hear this and the episode ends with her calling Ethan's phone and Cameron and Lucia having sex while Ethan is sitting in his room smoking a cigarette.

Episode Review

There were some pretty harsh revelations about the characters, and episode 3 adds to their development. The more you get to know these people, the sadder their reality becomes. Ethan and Harper may be headed for a failed marriage. There is no spark between them and it is unlikely that they will be able to win her back.

Episode 3 was quite clever in having them work things out separately, making it a difficult task to get them back. Daphne and Cam's reality is different. Although they appear to be a successful couple on the surface, Daphne reveals how they play games with each other, deceiving and deceiving each other. It's just as sad, but packaged in a different form.

The complexity of the drama was the highlight of this episode. The flashback to The Godfather was also quite enjoyable in episode 3. We see more beautiful locations and cast locations in Sicily. White Lotus 2 presents an adult drama with mature themes that are not morally black or white. The gray area is where the show operates and gives us a lot of thoughts about some of the characters and their decisions. Mia quickly heads down a dark path that will scar her forever. He doesn't know it yet and neither does Lucia.

Is he one of the bodies from episode one? It seems very likely. Tanya just keeps going down the drain of her depression and Portia is too busy with her own problems. Albie doesn't even know what he's doing wrong, and there's a pretty pathetic smirk from the writers as he screams "déjà vu."
