Connect Nayanthara New Tamil Movie Review

Nayanthara is back with yet another female-centric film, Connect. The horror thriller was directed by Ashwin Saravanan and released today in Telugu. Let's see how it is.

  Story:

This upsets everyone, and Susan's daughter, Anna, is particularly affected. He tries to talk to his father's spirit with the help of an external force. However, in a tragic turn of events, an unknown spirit enters her and causes chaos in the family. How will the desperate Susan deal with this situation? Whose help does he get is the story of the film.

  Extra Points:

Although the film is shot in only two rooms, it is well lit and creates a tense mood in the audience. The climax part is well done and the soul leaving the body scenes are well done. The girl who played Anna was good in her main role.

Anupam Kher adds depth to the film with his performance as a priest. Vinay Rai was good in his small role. Satyaraj is neat but does a lot of hams in the last part of the film. Nayanthara did a transient job in the film. There is nothing great about him to showcase his talent, but still, the film is watchable only because of him.

  Negative points:

Vignesh Shivan was the producer of the film and it is difficult to understand what innovation he has come up with in the story line. An evil spirit entering a girl's body and a priest who comes to help her are shown since childhood.

The film has many logical problems. None of this is properly explained in the film as to why the girl decides to talk to her father's spirit, whose spirit entered her body, and what the back story is.

Emotionally, there is not much depth in the relationship. A mother who feels strained to put her daughter through hell is not shown well. Apart from a few thrills, there is nothing new that the film showcases.

  Technical Aspects:

Since the film was shot in just two rooms, the camera work had to be top notch, and it is. BGM could have been more effective. The Telugu dubbing is good and so are the production values.

As for director Ashwin Saravanan, his last film Game Over was quite good but with this film he chose a theme, added a star like Nayanthara and made an hour and a half long film and sold it to an audience that didn't buy it. his vision.

Generally, thrillers make you want to know what is behind the ghost. But nothing like that happens here. This is a straight thread that is executed in an unrelated manner. Ashwin breaks down the quarantine days and shows excitement in each one. However, many panic scenes are cut midway, irritating the audience.

  Verdict:

Overall, Nayanthara's Connect is a poorly made horror thriller with nothing new to show for it. The climax is good and Nayanthara helps the audience to sit up. But the rest of the plot, story and thrills make this movie a boring watch this weekend.
