What is The Witcher: Blood Origin Season 1 about?

You might say it has nothing to do with The Witcher, and you'd probably be right. The fate of the world hangs in the balance as an evil, unscrupulous sorceress named Merwyn sets out to conquer the lands with Balor.

Our site has extensive information about The Witcher: Blood Origin, including full season reviews and recaps for every episode.

Has The Witcher: Blood Origin been renewed for season 2?

Given the nature of the show's content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.

Netflix generally measures a number of metrics before renewing a show, including how many people watch it initially and then looking at its release rate.

So far, The Witcher: Blood Origin has received a poor response from critics and audiences alike. The show is poorly edited throughout and has almost no connection to the source material.

Given the ending and the perceived backlash against it, 24 hours after its release (at the time of writing!) we predict that Blood Origin will not be renewed for a second season.

We'll be sure to update this section with exact details in the coming weeks and months as we know more!

What we know so far about season 2:

However, we do know that the main Witcher franchise on the platform will continue for two more seasons, with Henry Cavill leaving at the end of season 3.

As mentioned above, we predict that this will not be updated, but we will have to wait and see what happens. We'll be sure to update this page as more information becomes available in the future!
